PROJECT YOUTH OFFICIAL CIC
Project Youth Official is dedicated to empowering young people from the ages of 10-18 with priority given to 10-15 year olds.
We focus on early intervention with a strength based approach, which helps to build positive relationships between young people and adults within their home and local community.
We at Project Youth Official believe that expert by experience is a key part to giving professionals and young people a better understanding on what life really is like when we either make that decision to be part of the streets or get exploited/groomed into a life of the unknown.
Project Youth Official offer a number of services where our founder Carl Scott will travel the county to deliver workshops and 1-1s as well as telling his own personal story within schools and the community but also offering talks to professional's in all different services.
Our goal is to ensure that every young person from any background reaches their potential and can access the support and opportunities they truly deserve.
As part of community safety we have been working in partnership with Sussex Police around installing catastrophic bleed control cabinets across Sussex. This is a new scheme which we are running along side our community Mentoring. £10 from each kit sold goes towards a meal or activity for the youths we as a project support. As of December 2023 we have now partnered with corporate security companies across London, who say public protection is a must also installing cabinets within their estates they protect. If you would like to find out more about this great scheme please pop us an email.

Back in 2019, my son Harvey was getting in to trouble with the police, getting arrested and committing serious crimes. Harvey was dependant on cannabis and i could see him going down hill. I as a parent did as much as i can but Harvey never listened never to me, police was at my door all time. The police tried putting Harvey on to different courses but everything failed. As a mother i ended up losing hope with Harvey, i then had a call saying he would be getting a youth worker, i still had no hope as nothing had ever worked with him. We met Carl and he worked with us. Carl helped Harvey apply for jobs, colleges and started to get Harvey on the right path which also helped with him giving up cannabis. Carl was amazing and did something that nobody has ever done before. Carl always worked with Harvey not against him which made Harvey always looking forward to seeing him i saw a big difference in my son he wenty to college and gave up cannabis and this is only down to carl carl worked so hard with hRVEYB and when everyone gave up on him carl never did now 2023 harvey has. a job a stable lifestyle and is drug free we only have him to thank for thios he teruly saved Harvey from going into a deep dark place and he made mine and harveys relationship stronger as he taught him to have respect thanks for everything youve done.

Through my time working with carl as my mentor i always felt connected with him and always had the support i needed when face with a problem carl always had good advice on what i told him and i found he made a positive impact on me through the time of the programme.
Carl would help me in other ways for example if i needed to be somewhere after any of our sessions he would always offer to take me there which i found very supportive working with carl was very beneficial and over all my time with him and the work he did with me was excellent
I started working with Carl when i was 13 years old after having problems at home as well as at school. I started working with Carl when i was 13 years old after having problems at home as well as at school. I use to run away from home a lot of the time, get in to fights, get myself excluded from school for long periods of time. i really did not like my home life nor school life. I got sent to many for. help with my anger and had a social worker. I had people come to see me at school and. still even then i would not listen to a word they had to say which. then i would then stop turning up for my meetings. It was after i had a severe fight that the police would then get involved and i was taken to the police station. and put with the youth offenders team which is where then i met Carl. The first couple of times i did not really listen to him as i thought he was like the rest of the people i had worked with but then realised he was there to listen and. to help me try to cope with things in different ways. After a while we managed to build up a good bond and found. him very easy to talk to. He gave me good direction and advice with gave me a lot of time with Carl for him to help me find solutions. I was very nervous about going in to places and Carl made me feel very comfortable which led me to then. starting a gym with a personal trainer which helped me a lot with my mental health and anger. Sadly the project he was working for lost their funding. I am now 17 years old and have a job and i am on the right path working towards my dream job. I will never never be able to thank Carl enough for all his time and hard work as he showed me that there were a lot more. to life then fighting and getting in to trouble.
MEET OUR AMBASSADOR
We are pleased to announce that Project Youth now has the pleasure of Danielle Mason as our project ambassador.
Here is a little bit of Danielles background.
When Danielle was launched as a model it wasn't long before reality TV shows started to show an interest from channels such as BB1,BBC3,BBC News,Channel 5 and much more.
Danielle's appearances brought in many views with figures up to 15 million.
Danielle has recently became big in the cleaning world helping to influence cleaning hacks on her social media platforms which has been featured in the Sun news The Express and The mail.
Danielle is the new presenter on Ideal world shopping channel featured on Sky Tv, ITV and Freeview.
Danielle says "the reason why she jumped at the chance of being ambassador of project youth was because she feels that all young people deserve the chance to be heard as growing up with all the expectations of today's world is a lot of pressure which in turn opens up the risk to knife crime, grooming, modern day slavery and exploitation from county line gangs.
I have two young children myself and if i can help raise awareness to these such dangers maybe we could aim to make the community a safer place."
We are so happy to have Danielle onboard and look forward to see what the future brings.
Our founder and co-founder wrote a song about knife-crime to help spread awareness of the dangers and effects knife-crime has on peoples lives. Click below to listen.
